Using the Wheel of Life
See exactly how you are doing
Few people realise, when they fill out the form at the bottom of my website, why I ask for scores out of ten in different life areas. So I thought I’d introduce one of the most fundamental tools in life coaching - the Wheel of Life.
Some people come to coaching knowing something’s out of balance - they just can’t quite name it. Others notice that once their initial concern starts improving, they’re not sure what to focus on next. In both cases, the Wheel of Life is a gentle but powerful guide. It helps you visualise how different areas of your life are performing - and where a little extra care or attention might go a long way.

Originally, we built our interactive Wheel of Life as a tool for clients only. But honestly? It was too beautiful to keep to ourselves.
So now we’ve made it available to everyone. Completely free. No sign-up, no email capture, no sneaky data sharing.
The tool lives here. We’ve divided life into 10 categories. Just enter your score out of 10 in the boxes and click Update Wheel to see how your current balance looks.
If you'd like to save a copy, you can also generate a personalised workbook with your Wheel inside. Enter your name for the cover - or leave it blank, if you prefer. The workbook is created entirely on your device. We never see your data and nothing gets saved on our end.
The workbook includes some journal pages to reflect on the scores and how you would like each area to look. You can use any technique you like - journalling, meditating, art - or my favourite, talking to ChatGPT.
Start by sharing a picture of your wheel with all the categories and scores. Then use this prompt:
"I'm using a Wheel of Life to evaluate different areas of my life. The shared image shows the scores I gave and in which categories. Please ask me questions to help me reflect on these scores, what I want each area of my life to look like, and set a maximum of 5 small but meaningful action steps to take me in that direction. Give priority to actions that may improve multiple areas with lower scores."
And then just let the thoughts flow.

Your Wheel will shift over time even if you don’t actively “do” anything. That’s okay. Life is always moving. So feel free to come back and check in as often as you like. This is your space to explore, reflect, and grow.
Until next time, fly safely.
