Divine Manifestation
The role of each chakra in manifestation
Let's start out with a few words about manifestation. First, what is it and where is it on the woo woo scale?
To manifest - or in old language, to make manifest - is simply to make happen or bring into being. You can manifest through action, by building something. You can manifest with money, by buying something. You can manifest by manipulating energy, and I know that's where the woo woo alarm goes off, so we're going to spend some time on it.
I will, though, speed through it. Everything in the Universe is energy. There isn't anything that isn't energy. The important thing to take away from this is that every particle, every wave, every molecule, even every thought - it's all the same stuff in different forms. It's like matter is ice, waves are liquid water, and thoughts are steam. Still just H2O in different forms, different densities.
We are made out of the same energy that the car you want, the relationship you want, the career you want. Just different densities.

At the risk of going all Scopes Monkey Trial here, I'd like to suggest that the real difference between us and the animals - even our nearest relatives, the primates - is our relationship to energy.
I believe - and since it is a belief, I can't prove it, but I do think it is true - that humans have such potential for power that our personalities, our ego - the part of our psychology that makes us think we are not indivisible from the Divine - was put in place specifically to keep us from manifesting every random thought.
Manifestation has to be hard - or at least ritualised - so the Universe knows we've thought it through.
Our Chakra System is one of the intermediate points between the steam of the universe and the ice of our bodies. It connects directly into our Central Nervous System, our Autonomic Nervous System, and the electrical systems in our brains. If our Chakra System is broken - if we are out of alignment - it can cause physical symptoms, conditions, diseases. Problems in our Chakra System manifest as illness in our bodies.
Maintaining alignment with Divine energy (and this may or may not be "God" to you - I prefer "The Universe" which I see as an intelligent being and we are its cells) promotes well-being physically, mentally, and spiritually.
The image on the right shows the approximate locations of the principal Chakras relative to the human body. They sit inside the body but are not quite like organs. They are energy centres of a frequency higher than than the body - liquid, not ice. Energy also flows between the body and Earth and the body and Universal Source Energy.

If you are familiar with manifesting guidance at all, you are probably aware of the following steps:
1. Decide what you want.
2. Visualise what you want.
3. Feel what you want.
4. Act as if you have it.
This isn't wrong. It just isn't fully detailed. Our Chakra system is the map to everything we aspire to be. And I am omitting "do" and "have" because it is ALL about being. Being the person who attracts the opportunities to do and have.
Third Eye Chakra
Sanskrit name: Ajna
The Third Eye Chakra is the centre of clairvoyance - of visions. It is how you see in dreams.
When we manifest, it is a conscious choice. Our mental system has two parts, the local "brain" and the non-local "mind". The brain stores data, the mind imagines.
We use the brain and our conscious mind to decide - logically, usually - what we want to manifest. We think about it. And then we visualise what the manifestation will look like.
I think it is useful to imagine a specific scenario, so I'm going to use "calling in a mentor."
Usually we begin by contemplating something we want to change in our lives. We decide that we could improve if only we had an expert to guide us, so we decide to manifest a mentor. We imagine the qualities of a mentor - not only a highly experienced individual, but one who is patient and has a natural gift for teaching. We might imagine coming to them and asking them how to improve an area of our business. We might see them speaking at a conference, to study their techniques. We do not imagine a specific mentor, or even a particular gender or age. We can leave that "fuzzy" in our imaginations.

Crown Chakra
Sanskrit name: Sahasrara
In order to manifest, we must connect our vision with Divine Source. We need energy from above to power the manifestation.
Through relaxation, meditation, visualisation, prayer, we must "plug in" to the Crown Chakra.
If you are highly spiritual, you may maintain a constant connection with higher frequencies. If you are not (and most people are not, that's not a judgement) you will need to practice until you feel the connection establish. It is your job to remain passive and simply receive Universal Source Energy.
Communication through the Crown Chakra is pre-verbal, even pre-mental. It might feel like you are no longer alone, that you are a part of something larger, that you have connected with your Higher Self. Any images you may receive are likely symbolic.
This Chakra responds with the flash, "I am receiving guidance. I don't know what it is yet, but something is happening." It may feel like being heard.
If you are not aligned, if you are not in the correct state to receive, you will dismiss this intuitive nudge as imagination. Please don't do this, the Divine communicates through our imagination!
Crown Chakra and then Third Eye or the other way around?
I'm going to address each Chakra in turn going down the body from this point, so why did I start with the second Chakra and go up?
Because manifestation starts in our heads.
That doesn't mean that some processes don't start at the top and go down! The crown receives inspiration from the Universe, God, the Higher Self. It is opening the channel for a "download" (which is a popular description of Divine communication). It may be nothing more than the feeling of a ... mental inhale, a gasp. You can't describe what the idea is yet.
When the Divine decides to communicate with us and not the other way around, we just have to stay open to whatever comes. This initial connection will then lead to activation of the Third Eye where we begin to see what the Divine is trying to tell us in more literal terms.
The energy then moves to the Throat Chakra, where we start to feel words swirling around the idea until they begin to describe something. You can now speak and write about the ideas being transmitted.
This is also what is happening when true channelers work. A higher frequency - whether that is Divine Source, angels, beings from higher vibrations, humans who have passed, or the Higher Self of the channeler or someone else - waits for the channeler to enter the appropriate receptive mode (sometimes called a "trance"). Then they are able to communicate through the channeler's energy systems to their Throat Chakra - where the channeler can voice the being's words - and their Heart Chakra - where they can feel the emotion of the message. Some channelers are so receptive that they don't even feel as though they are speaking - it feels as though the channeled being is controlling their voice, and the being may even struggle, causing the voice to come out differently. I know channelers who work with specific beings and trust them enough to allow this, and I have no reason to doubt their experiences.
Throat Chakra
Sanskrit name: Vishuddha
The Throat Chakra is the centre of language and expression - it is from whence we speak our truth. When the Throat Chakra is blocked, we find it hard to express ourselves, our opinions, or even to stand up for ourselves.
When we are tired of hearing someone else speak, we shush them. We use not our vocal chords but air through clenched teeth, demonstrating that we want to silence their Throat Chakra. If that doesn't work, we tell them to shut up in as menacing a tone as we can. Even telling someone to be quiet in the politest of tones is extremely shaming. You aren't just quieting the noise, you are quieting their self-expression. I could go on about the importance of the Throat Chakra and how often it is blocked, intentionally and unintentionally, by people and circumstances around us. Loose lips don't just sink ships.
The Throat Chakra allows us to put words to our manifestation. It can be a valuable exercise to journal what we see in our visions or record a monologue. When I lead clients through the Perfect Day visualisation, they have to describe to me in great detail where they imagine they are and what they are doing. This is vital to really get the details down. It must feel completely real and achievable.
Again I will caution that details of who and how should remain fuzzy. You do not want to limit the means by which your manifestation will arrive. Make sure you are detailing the outcome. Journal about the big presentation you will make with perfect confidence once you have studied with your mentor. Describe the faces of happy customers.
Writing or speaking about your visualisation makes it more real, and visualisation gives you the things to describe. They work hand in hand.

Heart Chakra
Sanskrit name: Anahata
The Heart Centre is the seat of emotion. It is also the bridge between the slow and very material-world-focussed lower chakras and the mental and spiritual chakras above (3 each side).
Early manifestation guidance forgot to mention the importance of emotion. Modern manifestors teach that emotion is the key. If you get right to the heart of the matter (pun intended) what we are really trying to manifest is a feeling. Not a car - speed and freedom. Not travel - luxury and adventure. Not money - ease and support. Not success - pride and confidence.
In order to manifest, we have to connect our vision and our words and the Universal Source Engine to our Hearts. When you visualise, try to feel what achieving the vision feels like. Anchor this feeling and try to feel this way as much of your day as possible, no matter what is going on.
In a previous life, I studied acting. I'm not good at it, but I understand it. Most people have read that actors can become characters they aren't like experiencing things the actor hasn't experienced by finding the emotion in some other event in their lives and connecting that to the scene. Most of us aren't violent criminals, but a trained actor can remember a time they felt powerful, or felt that power slipping, or were angry and wanted to cause someone or something harm, even if they would never act on it. These emotions become the raw materials of a performance that is so authentic, it is as though it was really happening - under safe conditions, of course!
We may feel powerless, or bored, or in lack in our daily lives, but we can always remember the emotions in our visualisations. These emotions are true, even though they don't feel real in our day to day existence. Feel them anyway.
To refer to our example, make it a goal to feel the support your mentor gives you, the confidence you feel under their tutelage, the optimism, at least once an hour for a few minutes and repeat your vision as required to keep emotion strong.
Solar Plexus Chakra
Sanskrit name: Manipura
The Solar Plexus Chakra is the seat of personal power. It is also our identity.
The role of the Solar Plexus Chakra is to give us the choice. Are we going to step into our manifestation or continue to play small?
With our mentor example, we might be invited to a retreat, or get an email with some training that includes one-on-one coaching, or something else tangible. It may come with a price tag. The Solar Plexus Chakra says, "do you choose this?"
It is important to remember that the Solar Plexus Chakra is also like the tide. It also asks "do you choose this tomorrow? And in a week? And in a month?".
So much of our society is built on false urgency. Get this thing now or you'll miss out. It's so pervasive we made it an acronym: FOMO. And even the spiritual industry refuses to honour the rhythms of the Solar Plexus. I've missed out on two amazing training opportunities so far this year because I needed to act before I was ready.
The Solar Plexus also asks you to trust, if the first offer isn't right because of timing or vibes, more offers will come. But it asks you to answer out of strength, not out of fear. Don't take the offer out of fear you'll miss out; and don't refuse the offer because you are afraid of actually getting all you desire. Getting something better is scary, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, because it is different. We know where we stand with the lives we have now, even if we don't like them. They are comfy. Don't miss out because you are scared, miss out because it wasn't right for you. You are not here to dance to someone else's beat.
I would be remiss if I didn't address a different situation entirely - you're doing all the work, you are visualising, feeling, journalling, opening yourself to Divine Flow, and you are getting ... nothing.
Waiting sucks. And society actually reinforces the idea that we have to be constantly moving. The "short attention span" thing. And if you have ADHD? Torture!
Not getting any offers, any movement towards your goal, may mean a couple of things.
The first is that what you want is just going to take longer than you expected. Divine timing is very frequently frustrating. The message is to just keep swimming.
The second is that you aren't in total alignment with the vision. I'm actually in this a lot. I want something, but I'm also afraid I can only get it by means I don't want (just for instance, I might want a financial windfall but I'm afraid it will come as an inheritance, get me?). Or I want success at work but am afraid it can only come through long hours. These caveats, these fears, keep me from being in complete alignment with the goal. I am subconsciously blocking my manifestation. I might manifest £3.20 from the lottery but not the thousands I really want. Even though I have no fears at all about a lottery win.
If you have a sneaking suspicion this might be you, your first port of call is the emotion you want to create. Journal about the emotion, not about what causes it. Check with the eye of a forensic accountant - will your goal bring you that emotion? Are there tweaks you can make? For instance if I'm worried about an inheritance, I can imagine the joy of sharing my windfall with my family. If I'm worried about success coming at the expense of a personal life, I can imagine myself not only happy at work, but relaxed and well-rested. I can imagine leaving work to spend the evening with friends.
Sometimes you may even find that you are trying to manifest something you don't want at all - it was just something you felt you should want. You have permission to manifest something else.
One very last thought, I promise. The Solar Plexus is also your external identity - not your All-is-One Self but your Individuated Self. You may need to sit with the question, "who am I if I accept this?" Take your time.

Sacral Chakra
Sanskrit name: Svadhishthana
The Sacral Chakra is the seat of creativity. No coincidence it sits near the reproductive organs. It is also the seat of partnership.
For anyone following Quantum Human Design, you will know that for Generators (most people), "Sacral Says Yes." The Sacral Chakra is the tummy-brain that says, "this is yummy, give me more" but about feelings, not food.
The Sacral Chakra can help you navigate the questions posed at the Solar Plexus. The SP asks you to choose, the Sacral is the part of you that lights up with excitement when you are in alignment.
If you are not getting a clear YES from the Sacral, this may not be the opportunity for you.
If you aren't a Generator or Manifesting Generator, your relationship with the Sacral is different.
Projectors need to remain receptive and attuned as the manifestation starts to take form through others. You are inviting, guiding, and amplifying - not chasing and not forcing creation with your own energy. The yes you’re listening for isn’t inside you, it’s echoed back to you by others when the timing is right.
Manifestors need to be ready to relinquish control. Manifestors initiate, they don't necessarily finish. You've probably already done most of the physical labour by now and you need to ask yourself, "do I want to continue or can I pass it on to someone to finish? Or can I let it go and trust that something else will rise?"
Reflectors, you are feeling for surprise and delight as your yes. If you know you are a Reflector, you already understand that you need to wait a full lunar cycle before committing to anything. You are asking yourself, "is this joyful today? Was it joyful last week? Is it joyful when I'm around different people? Does the idea nourish me over time?" You need to consider multiple contexts before you can be sure something is aligned for you. So be patient and open.
You will know when the right mentor, the right training, the right opportunity arises. It just happens differently depending on your Design.
Root Chakra
Sanskrit name: Muladhara
The Root Chakra is about belonging - to your family, your tribe, your planet. It is survival, stability, and safety.
In manifesting, this is where the rubber meets the road. This is where the thing you want, choose, and get excited about comes to life. The Root Chakra asks you to prepare your life for the outcome - clear your diary, shower, step into your new identity and become the person with the thing. The one who doesn't have to hold the emotion because circumstances are constantly reminding you that this is real.
There is still room for fear to derail you. If the manifestation doesn't feel safe, the opportunity will vanish. Or you will pressure yourself to commit and all that joy will evaporate.
Even now, at the threshold of success, it is important to hold on to the feeling of having what you want and doing that vibe check that this new reality is an exact match. If it isn't, don't panic. This particular version of manifestation isn't right for you. You have the right to walk away - always. You have to consent, body and soul, to this outcome and no one can do that for you.
This is the first meeting with the mentor when you get to try on what it feels like to be in their presence. Do you feel like you've come home? If they challenge you, do you like it? Comfortable isn't always the best option but do you feel safe? Can you be vulnerable with them? Can you trust them?
Every step has required discernment: is that fluttery feeling excitement or fear? Is this what I want or only what I think I want? Do I want to run away because this doesn't feel right or because I'm afraid to change? This step is no different.
If you have done your due diligence at every turn, you don't need to be afraid of making a decision. Even if you make the wrong one, it's data for next time. How many of us has made a detailed list of our perfect partner - gorgeous, funny, intelligent, kind - and then found someone who ticked all the boxes ... and then we realise that gourmet cook really needed to be on that list? Finding out you've manifested something that isn't exactly right usually comes with a bit of pain, because pain shows us where to change.
Your role is to prepare the ground, hold the space, and say: “I’m ready.” Even if your voice shakes. Even if your schedule isn’t perfect. Even if receiving it changes everything. Because this is how we root a dream into reality.

Until next time, fly safely.
